The primary goal of Temple Society of Professional Journalists is networking. Staying true to the mission of the national organization, TUSPJ is dedicated to the perpetuation of the free press as the cornerstone of our nation and our liberty.

As a student chapter, we strive to equip young journalists with tools they will need to survive in an increasingly competitive market: an understanding of the responsibility that journalists have in preserving democracy; full knowledge of our rights as journalists, why these rights are so important and how to protect them; understanding of ethics in journalism and how to practice them; and, of course, contacts to help you get your first job.
