We are no longer accepting submissions for the paper competition.
Universities interested in reserving more rooms at the Hotel to accommodate additional students are requested to wait until March 18th. Any rooms that are not used in the block of rooms reserved for the entire conference will be released on the 18th to the schools that require additional rooms. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Please feel free to contact us with any questions that you might have.
Students taking part in Ethics, Brownbag, Micromouse, or the Paper Competition may not take part in more than one time restricted event. However, they are allowed to take part in Physics, T-Shirt competitions, or Project Showcase concurrently. NOTE: If the team for Project showcase consists of 1 member, then he/she is recommended to not take part in any of the other events. At any given time it is recommended that at least one team member be present with the project display.
As always Project Showcase will be a peer evaluated event. However, this year there will be a cap to the number of votes a student branch can cast:
a. Each student branch will be allotted a maximum of 10 ballots.
b. Student branches with less than 10 members attending, will receive the same number of ballots as the number of student members present.
T-shirt competition: Judging for the T-Shirt competition will be exactly the same as that of Project showcase (as stated above).
MicroMouse competition Rules have changed please check the competitions page for more information.
Students who take part in the physics competition are NOT restricted to this one competition alone. This competition will run concurrently with other competitions throughout the day. If you wish to participate in this while being a part of other events, please make sure to stop by the event room at some point and pick up a problem sheet on April 17th. You may return at any convenient time of the day (1PM - 5PM) to the event room for judging.
Sample registration form has been posted under the Registrations tab.
Universities interested in bringing more than 10 students must pay for the accommodations for the extra student members. Consequently, the student branch will be responsible for making any additional reservations with the Hotel. If any University is interested in brining more than 10 student members, please contact the SAC coordinator via e-mail at skandi@ieee.org before making any additional reservations. Also total numbers of teams per competitions from one school are as follows
Ethics - 1
Brownbag - 2
Micromouse - 2
Paper - No Limit
Showcase - No Limit
Physics - Not Applicable Since it is an individual competition
