Philabundance Community Service Event

Date: Saturday, Februrary 21, 2009

Time: 12:30pm to 3:30pm;
We will be meeting in the first floor lobby of Speakman Hall and leaving from main campus at 12:00

Event Description/Additional Info:
Philabundance is the region's largest hunger relief organization. It keeps food from being wasted but distributes them to millions of people who are short of food, especially children and senior citizens, who are at risk of hunger and malnutrition, In 2007, Philabundance delivered 24 million pounds of food.
By engaging in this event, we would know about how important food is for lowest income people and how non-profit organizations like Philabundance make continuous effort to help them. We may join in food process, such as Sorting, packing; We could also assist fund-raising.

We will be meeting in the first floor lobby of Speakman Hall and leaving at 12 pm. We are walking to the site, so please dress appropriately. Dress comfortably; no open-toed shoes. Philabundance is about 0.6 miles away from Main campus(10-minutes walking). Remember to bring umbrellas as rain or snow showers are expected for Saturday
