Ascend Temple University Student Chapter is a new student professional organization (SPO) founded in Fall 2007 by Jen Huynh. The accounting and finance organization is open to all students at Temple University, regardless of race and ethnicity, and wants to become an organization celebrating diversity and promoting leadership. Ascend Temple is in its second semester and looks forward to paving a foundation for future members and students.

Ascend, the National Chapter, was formerly known as the National Asian American Society of Accountants (NAASA) and was formed in late 2004. Ascend aims to be the premier professional association for enhancing the presence and influence of Asian Americans in the accounting and finance profession. The organization and its members aim to cultivate the growth of accounting knowledge and to advance business development opportunities. They also serve the public and the community by disseminating information on accountancy and finance and fostering the study of accountancy and finance in universities, and to promote a higher standard of professional ethics.

Meetings are held in Speakman Hall 214, Friday 12:00 - 12:50pm
