• Celebrate Spirits Across Generations with Jeff Chin on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 6:00pm-8:15pm at Drexel: Van Rensselaer, 3320 Powelton Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
• Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday, February 11, 2013: We will be having a blood drive in the Fox School of Business the following week. We would like all members to sign up to do a noble deed. Sign up forms will be available all of this week in the lobby of Alter Hall.
• Welcome to a fresh new semester! We have planned for you many events that will help to make your experience with us even more meaningful and memorable. Please remember to check your email and keep connected to us via our social media platforms, as we will use these outlets to communicate to you through the semester. Thanks to all of you for making Ascend such a successful organization!
• First community service event this semester with Gift of Life Family House (401 Callowhill Street Philadelphia, PA 19123), Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 12:30pm-3:00pm: Gift of Life Family House offers a "home away from home" for the families of transplant patients receiving medical treatment at one of the eight Philadelphia area transplant centers. Our Ascend group will bake for people staying there. We should be mindful about the way we approach the patients there. We will meet as a group in front of Qdoba at 11:45am and then take the subway there. If you are interested in attending please sign up at the following link: Gift of Life.
• We will continue to work hard to bring everyone a wonderful Spring 2013 Ascend-filled semester! Happy holidays and a warm winter break to everyone!
• Congratulations to Joseph Stec for winning Most Active Ascend Member Award (Fall 2012 Semester)!
• Please welcome our new Co-Events Coordinators Alex Le and Thuc Hoang to join the Ascend Temple University Chapter team, as they will work hard to bring everyone meaningful and lasting events for the rest of the year!
• Thanks to everyone who applied for the Events Coordinator position. We are no longer accepting applications for this role.
• Congratulations to our fellow Ascend Temple University Student Chapter member Mohamedmehdi Khaku for winning the Ascend/Cargill Scholarship!
• American Red Cross Blood Drive, Monday, October 29th, 2012 from 12pm-5pm: The American Red Cross will be here on campus for their first blood drive. Ascend members who volunteer to help out at the event will receive 15 membership points while those who donate blood will receive 25 points. Those interested in helping out or donating blood, please reach out to Ashley Donahue at ashley.donahue@temple.edu.
• First Annual Kickball Tournament with Ascend Drexel, Temple Ambler Campus, Saturday, October 20th, 2012 from 1pm-5pm: We will have free pizza and soda at the event for our members. We will only be sending two teams from our chapter, each with 12 members. Furthermore, the team must have at least four female members. Those of you interested in playing must form your team and submit it to one of our officers or at our office in Alter 403c by October 13th at the latest. This event is free for the teams as well. We will also be having several accounting and finance firms from around the region joining us, so we would encourage all to attend. Members who are not on a team or do not wish to play can still come and support us. We only ask that you sign up at the following link: Ascend Kickball Tournament.
• Fox School of Business Alumni Association Corporate Speaker Series, at the Union League of Philadelphia, Wednesday, October 17th, 2012 from 5:30-9:00pm: As a Temple student and Ascend member, you have a unique opportunity to network with professionals and alumni. As you can tell below, there will be lots of powerful people there, and it will be a unique opportunity to experience life outside college. There is a registration fee of $ 10, but that is minor investment given the networking opportunities available. Ascend will give free tokens to the first 20 members who decide to attend the event. • Fall Neighborhood Cleanup, Saturday, October 13, 2012, 9:00am to 12:00pm: Ascend will partner with the Lower Moyamensing Civic Association to help them with their fall neighborhood cleanup.
  • Meet at the LoMo shed in the parking lot of Epiphany Church (located on Jackson Street between 11th & 12th Streets - accessible by the Broad Street Subway Line, Snyder Avenue stop. The church parking lot is located one block south of Snyder Ave)
  • Join our civic association this fall as we give our neighborhood a bit of TLC! We'll be sweeping our streets and sidewalks as part of a larger anti-litter effort in our community. All supplies will be provided.
  • Ascend members will receive 25 points for attending the event. We will also have professionals from different firms volunteering with us as well . • Buy some goodies at Ascend's Second Bake Sale on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 9am-3pm in Alter Hall lobby! All of our proceeds help fund scholarships for Ascend members.
• I want to thank everyone who came out to our socials. We will posting pictures and videos of performances on to our Facebook page soon, so check them out!
• Join us for our Welcome Back meeting, as we commence the beginning of another productive year on September 7, 2012 at 12pm-1pm within Alter Hall 032 where you can learn more about the upcoming events and benefits of joining our organization can provide you with.
• Ascend Temple Student Chapter officers will be available to help assist you with any questions and help provide you more information at the SPO Fair within Alter Hall Undergrad Commons, Friday, August 31, 2012 at 11am-1pm.
