If you have been the victim of a sexual assault, contact campus police at 1-1234.
You may be taken to the emergency room of the Episcopal campus of Temple University Health System for evaluation and care. Since 1982, Episcopal’s emergency department has had specially trained staff to provide evaluation, evidence collection, treatment, counseling and referral for victims of sexual assault.
If you decline emergency room care, Student Health Services can provide you with counseling, treatment for sexually transmitted infections and emergency contraception. Student Health, however, is unable to provide a “rape examination” intended to collect evidence for use during any future legal action resulting from a sexual assault.
The Tuttleman Counseling Center provides counseling and assistance to victims of sexual assault through the Sexual Assault Counseling and Education (SACE) program. Visit their web site for information on SACE and related programs.
