Policies & Procedures
Reservations for any room in the Student Faculty Center must be made through Virtual EMS Groups outside of the Temple University Community should still contact the Conference Department at 215-707-4017. Last minute reservations, (any booking requesting a reservation for within the next 48 hours), may be subject to a processing charge at the discretion of the HSC Office of Student Activities. If a room is available, the Conference/Information Coordinator will send a confirmation to the requestor for the appropriate signatures and billing information. All reservations are considered to be confirmed when the HSC Office of Student Activities has received a signed contract by the budget head of the department making the request.
All cancellations must be made by fax (215-707-4481), emailing email@example.com or by calling the Conference/Information Coordinator by 5 PM the day prior to the event. A cancellation or "no show" fee of $50.00 will be charged if either no notification or cancellation is given after 5 PM the day prior to the event when equipment has been reserved. For events that did not reserve equipment $25 will be charged.
All non-Temple University reservations must cancel within 7 days from the start of the event to be eligible for a full refund. If cancellations are made less than 7 days from the start of the event, a 50% cancellation fee will be assessed.
Setup & Audio Visual Needs
The staff of the Student Faculty Center will complete all room setups. Conference users must contact the staff of the Student Faculty Center for any changes to the setups. All audiovisual equipment will be provided by the Student Activities Office for a fee. Outside equipment is not permitted in the Student Faculty Center unless permission has been granted by the Student Activities Office. Setups may require a set up fee to be determined by the Student Activities Office.
All catering requests must be made through Temple Dining Services at least two weeks prior to the event. Please contact 215-204-6789. No food may be brought into the building without written consent from Broad Street Catering by Sodexho.
All lobbies, as well as meeting rooms, in the Student Faculty Center must be reserved through the Conference/Information Coordinator. Pets are not permitted in the building at any time. No publicity for any event may be distributed until the reservation has been confirmed. Subleasing of rental space is not permitted. All rooms must be reserved before they can be used. Movement of furniture in any area, unless authorized, is not permitted. Food and drinks may be consumed in specifically designated areas. Please adhere to signs, which are placed throughout the facility.
No alcoholic beverages will be served as per Temple University's Alcohol Policy without prior approval. An alcohol permission form can be attained by contacting the Student Activities Office.
