The Student Center is excited to share information with the Temple community via the flag display in the Atrium. This site will be updated regularly with new information about the countries represented in Temple's student body. Please visit often as updates and more information will be shared at least twice a semester.
Each year, 44 country flags will be flown in the Student Center Atrium. The first 4 (USA, China, India and South Korea) represent the four largest international student populations at Temple. The other 40 illustrate one-quarter of the approximately 160 countries represented in the student body and will be rotated each year.
The intent of the flags display program is to share our cultural diversity through a large, visual display. During the course of one’s typical 4 year course of study, each student should see his/her flag aloft in the Student Center Atrium.
We are working on the installation of a new kiosk in the Atrium that will share information about all the countries represented in our student body – we hope to have that program component finished for the start of the spring 2010 semester.
Many thanks to Temple Student Government, Student Activities, International Services, and Facilities Management for their support and installation of this display.
The updated display information for Spring 2012 is coming soon - please check back for the new info. in the coming weeks.
