Office of Orientation Alert:

Summer Orientation (for Fall 2013 admitted students):

Placement Testing and Orientation Registration: Online placement testing and orientation registration will begin April 1, 2013.

Students who have paid a deposit will receive a mailing to their home address and an email with online placement testing and orientation registration information. The mailings and emails will begin April 1, 2013. All emails will be sent to the student's official Temple TUMail email account (see #3 below).

To ensure that you receive the mailings and emails about placement testing and orientation, please complete the following steps as soon as possible:

1. Pay University Deposit: In TUPortal or mailed to the University with the deposit slip in your acceptance packet.

2. Activate your Temple University AccessNet Account: If you have not already done so, log in to the TUPortal website (http://tuportal.temple.edu) and follow the instructions in the popup window to activate your AccessNet account.

If you have not yet used the TUPortal website or do not see a popup, Visit the Account Management website (http://accounts.temple.edu) and follow the instructions for new students on the bottom right of the screen. You must activate your account in order to proceed. Activating your account, which includes setting up a permanent password, provides you access to University resources. It is important that you know your Accessnet username and password as you will be using it often.

If you experience difficulties activating your Accessnet Account, please contact the Computer Services Help Desk at 215-204-8000.

3. Activate your Official TUMail Email Account: Log in to TUPortal with your AccessNet username and the new password you created when activating your account. In the MyPortal tab, locate the list of links on the left under TUApplications and click TUMail - Gmail link. Accept the terms and conditions for use of your email. You can also go directly to the TUMail website (tumail.temple.edu) to read your University email at any time.

PLEASE NOTE: Students must pay the deposit to receive the mailings and emails about orientation.
