Ainsley Carry , Associate Vice President for Student Affairs/Dean of Students
Dr. Ainsley Carry is the Associate Vice President and Dean of Students at Temple University. His areas of responsibility include University Housing, Campus Recreation, Student Activities, Career Development Services, Judicial Affairs, Orientation, Leadership Programs, Student Center, and Student Media. Dr. Carry earned his masters degree in Counseling and doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Florida. He has served as a college administrator since 1992 working at Southern Methodist University, the University of Arkansas, the University of Florida and Temple University.
Dr. Carry is a strong advocate for student leadership and personal development. He believes the central mission of higher education is to develop competent leaders. “Our greatest gift to the future” he said, “is sound leadership.” He has amassed an impressive body of work as a leadership educator, consultant, and strategic planner. He is frequently invited to keynote student leadership conferences and consult with colleges and universities on strategies for building leadership programs and strategic plans. He has served as a lead facilitator for the NCAA Student Athlete Leadership Conference and the LeaderShape Institute.
