What is The "Say Something @ Temple" program?

Say Something @ Temple (SS@T) is a bystander intervention program that utilizes students with high social capital to identify high-risk behaviors amongst their friends, intervene and refer. The HEART (Health Education Awareness Resource Team) Office is offering 1-hour training session. Students earn 5 Leadership Diamond Points through participating in this workshop.

NOTE: Students with high social capital are student leaders, organizational officers, Greeks, athletes, resident assistants, student workers, recreation leaders, team captains, etc. These are students who are not necessarily outgoing (all the time) but maintain a level of respect amongst their peers. When these students speak, other students listen. The beauty of SS@T is that the students who are trained come from a variety of areas with different influences – helping us to increase the number of students receiving information and referrals for high-risk behaviors.
