2012 Inclusive Leadership Conference

Building a Better Philadelphia One College Student at a Time

Conference Description:

Now more than ever college students must develop the knowledge and skills to lead ethically and inclusively in diverse contexts to create positive change. On February 11, 2012 Temple University and Campus Philly will host a one-day leadership conference for ALL Philadelphia-area undergraduates. The day will begin with a keynote address by nationally-recognized diversity educator Marvin Worthy, followed by presentations, workshops, dialogues, and panels on an assorted array of topics under the umbrella of inclusive leadership and social change.

Participants WILL HAVE the opportunity to:

  • Explore their personal leadership values, the impact of identity on leadership, and how to lead inclusively.
  • Connect with college students throughout the Philadelphia area to share best practices in leading with ethics and inclusiveness.
  • Appreciate social justice issues relevant to our community and how to take action to bring about positive social change.
  • Apply strategies and tools to demonstrate inclusive leadership within their own campuses, the Philadelphia community, and our greater world.

This event will foster dialogue between students at attending Philadelphia colleges and universities to lead more inclusively and effectively on their campuses and beyond!
