Partner with us

Interested in sharing your skills and experiences with our students?  We look to leaders and organizations in the Philadelphia community to bring your expertise to our office and our students.  We also look to build partnerships with Temple faculty, Schools and Colleges. Review the engagement opportunities listed below and contact Chelsea Kormos to express interest in a partnership.

Guest Leader Panel Night

Serving on the Guest Leader Panel provides a key way to connect with a diverse array of student leaders to share personal insights on leadership in the work context and empower them to continue on their own leadership development journey. This is also an opportunity to share more about the mission of your company or organization and the role you serve. Guest Leader Panel Night will occur as the final session of our Emerging Leaders Seminar program. We also invite our Diamond Leader students, some of our top student leaders on campus, to attend. The evening will begin with introductions and then the panel will last for approximately 45 minutes. Panelists will answer questions such as “What is the greatest leadership lesson you’ve learned in your current role?” and “Why do you think leadership development is important for college students?” We then will enjoy appetizers and networking with panelists and attendees. We expect approximately 50 students in attendance.

Serve as a Keynote Speaker:

We seek speakers for our Exploring Leadership Speaker Series. Throughout the school year we invite community leaders to give an hour-long speech (which can be interactive) to share personal leadership insights. This is also an opportunity to share more about the mission of your company or organization and the role you serve. Typically approximately 50-100 students are in attendance. Speaking topics could include “leadership in crisis,” “ethical leadership,” “leading from within,” or another topic of your choice.

Facilitate a Leadership Skills Workshop:

In partnership with the Office of Student Activities, the Office of Leadership Development facilitates leadership skills workshops for student organization members. Topics include leading groups and teams, how to run an effective meeting, best practices for budgeting, etc. We invite you to facilitate your own workshop to our student organization leaders on a topic of your choice. Approximately 40 student leaders will be in attendance.

Host a “Leadership Lunch and Learn” Event:

In partnership with the Career Center, we are coordinating a Leadership Lunch and Learn Series where a Philadelphia community leader will join a select group of 15-20 student leaders for a catered lunch to converse about the challenges and opportunities in leadership. Topics can include “inclusive leadership,” “resiliency in life and leadership,” “virtual professionalism,” or another topic of your choice.

Utilize our Listservs:

The Office of Leadership Development manages two listservs – one including over 1900 students who participate in our Student Leadership Challenge programs and one including our 50 Diamond Leaders. Our office would be happy to help you advertise recruiting events on campus through our weekly e-newsletter service.
