Fire Emergencies
Students and/or their guests who tamper with fire protection equipment or fail to evacuate any campus residence hall after an alarm has sounded will face University disciplinary action that may include termination of their Housing License. In addition, such individuals are subject to arrest by civil authorities. As soon as the alarm is sounded, follow evacuation procedures. Do not use an elevator. In the event of a fire alarm the stairs become a one-way means of transportation—Down!
Note: If you are the first to exit during a fire emergency, do not hesitate to activate the fire alarm and exit through the fire door.
