Adding, Changing, or Deleting Your Meal Plan
Students interested in adding, changing, or deleting their meal plans should log into the MyHousing system to access their Meal Plan selections recorded in our system. In the event you do not have a Meal Plan, you will be able to add one using MyHousing.
An additional on-line resource has been created to help students learn how to use and navigate the new MyHousing system. It is called " Guide to Apply for Housing and Meal Plans". Beginning on page 16 of this guide, you will find instructions that illustrate the process for requesting changes to your Meal Plan selections. We highly encourage you to read this information prior to making any changes.
Students may increase their Meal Plan Package at any time throughout the academic year.
A meal plan may be reduced downward only one time per semester.
The reduction or cancellation to meal plans for the current semester are only accepted from the start of classes through Friday, September 5, 2008 (for fall 2008) and Friday, February 6, 2009 (for Spring 2009). During each time period a student is permitted to decrease or cancel their Meal Plan Package one time if one of the following applies:
- Students released from their housing contract and no longer require a meal plan,
- Students living in an assignment that does not require a meal plan (Temple Towers, 1300 CB Moore apartments (floors 4 & 5), Edge and all graduate housing,
- Students living in an assignment that requires a meal plan package (Johnson, Hardwick, White Hall, 1940, 1300 CB Moore suites (floors 1-3) and Ambler East & West Halls) may reduce their meal plan package to a 10 Standard plan or greater. A 10 Standard meal plan is the minimum allowed in the facilities listed.
Students living in a University Housing & Residential Life facility that requires a Meal Plan and then moves to a University Housing & Residential Life facility that does not, have the option to continue, change, or cancel their Meal Plan within one week of their new assignment. Students are responsible for the total cost associated with their Meal Plan Package for the entire agreement period. Students who opt not to use their meal plan are still responsible for the total cost associated with their Meal Plan Package.
To delete your Meal Plan, by using the MyHousing system, you are Requesting to Cancel your Undergraduate Student Housing License. In accordance to our policies, late notices may be subject to penalties and late fees . Once requests are submitted, they will be reviewed by our staff and the plans will then be changed accordingly. Please remember that students living in University housing may have minimum meal plan requirements if they live in certain residence halls. Please check the Terms and Conditions for more information.
