Housing for Returning Juniors and Seniors
Due to limited availability, the University’s policy with regards to on-campus housing only guarantees on-campus housing for incoming freshman students and current freshman returning to on-campus housing for their sophomore year who submit a housing deposit and on-line housing application by the published deadline dates. This policy is communicated by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Office of University Housing and Residential Life prior to students entering Temple University and during summer Orientation. However, in some cases, returning sophomores or juniors do receive housing due to their special needs.
Although space is limited, after current freshman returning for their sophomore year select their preferred accommodations during the Housing Selection Process AND in the event that accommodations remain vacant in housing, students returning for the junior and senior year may be offered the opportunity to select remaining spaces on-campus.
Knowing that there is limited space and often no accommodations for returning juniors and seniors, we highly encourage students to work with the Office of Off-Campus Living to learn more about accommodations in the surrounding Temple community. Their staff can be contacted at (215) 204-3279 or students can visit their website on-line at http://www.temple.edu/studentaffairs/housing/offcampus.
We anticipate confirming if any open accommodations are available on-campus by Thursday, April 24th, 2008 and will communicate first to students who who’ve expressed an interest in on-campus housing. The Office of University Housing and Residential Life will provide regularly updates with regard to the Housing Selection Process and the availability of open accommodations for sophomores and juniors on the housing website at:
http://www.temple.edu/studentaffairs/housing/billing/HousingSelectionUndergrad.
Please feel free to call the Office of University Housing and Residential Life at (215) 204-7184 to speak to a staff member or visit us during the week of February 18th at our Information Tables to learn more about options for housing next year.
We look forward to assisting you in identifying housing options for the 2008-2009 school year and addressing any additional questions or concerns you may have.
