The Temple Taekwondo Club teaches Olympic-style sparring, which develops high levels of strength, agility, and endurance. Founded in 1997 under Master Laurence Narcisi, the Taekwondo Club has since expanded to more than thirty active members. Temple Taekwondo is a member of the Eastern Collegiate Taekwondo Conference, and competes against such schools as Harvard, Yale and Cornell. The Temple Taekwondo club strives to win at all competitions, and this is recognized by the other teams. In the spring of 2011 the team earned the title of Division 3 Champions for the 2010-2011 season.
The Taekwondo Club welcomes participants of all skill levels, and membership in the Club provides opportunities belt degrees.
The Taekwondo Club is dedicated to developing skills in the martial art of Taekwondo. We emphasize building strength, endurance, and technical skills. We will participate in three collegiate tournaments per semester, where we will compete against schools like Yale, MIT, Princeton, and other ivy-league schools.
The membership dues for the Taekwondo club will be $65/semester. BUT if you choose to pay for both semesters at once the cost is $120 rather than $130.
