The Temple Shotokan Karate Club is devoted to developing skills in the matria art of Shotokan Karate. We emphasize the building of strength, technical skills, and, above all, character.
Training in karate teaches us not only self-defense but, to respect others as well as ourselves. We train our body to be strong, and our mind and spirit to be patient.
The club continues to grow each semester, and welcomes students of all skill levels to join.
As a member of the Temple University Shotokan Karate Club, not only will you be able to attend the practices held at the IBC, but you will also be eligible for membership at the Philadelphia Shotokan Karate Club, East Coast Shotokan Karate Association. Being a member of this club will allow you to be able to gain belt advancements, as well as practice in the dojo under the highest-level instructors. Members may also participate in camps, seminars, and tournaments sponsored by the ISKF throughout the world.
