Group Rentals and Teambuilding

                            Rock climbing

Climbing and teambuilding programs provide opportunities for groups to develop trust, build confidence and increase individual and group awareness through climbing. Rock climbing demands a high level of communication, personal responsibility and teamwork. While individual efforts contribute, it is always the way a group works together that determines how successful they will be.

These programs provide unique initiative opportunities to the Temple University Community.

Our professional staff will help you create a unique and positive climbing experience for your group. These are available upon request, outside of normal operating hours and a meeting or phone call must be scheduled prior with the climbing wall manager.

Climbing Parties

Climbing Parties are designed to get your group on the wall, climbing and having fun together as quickly as possible. Climbing Wall Staff will assist with fitting harnesses and shoes and will belay (hold the rope) for everyone in the group. Generally there are 3-4 climbers per staff member. Having a smaller group guarantees lots of climbing and personal attention. Staff will belay, encourage and help coach climbers.

Climbing parties are available to group sizes up to 30 participants. No previous climbing experience necessary. Each party is 2 hours and includes all equipment. $40.00 deposit required.

Teambuilding

Team Building Events are designed to develop trust, build confidence and increase individual and group awareness through climbing AND belaying. Our knowledgeable and experienced staff will prepare you to hold the ropes for each other. This adds a unique element of responsibility and encourages teamwork through trust and communication. Teambuilding events include icebreakers, a short belay clinic and lots and lots of climbing. We will customize your experience with a variety of different climbing activities.

Teambuilding events are available to group sizes up to 30 participants. No previous climbing experience necessary. Each event is 2 hours and includes all equipment. $40.00 deposit required.

Group rentals are available for Temple University Students, Staff and Alumni. External participants are not permitted to use the Climbing Wall. Reservations must be made at least 14 days in advance. The wall may be rented for a minimum of 2 hours, $50.00 each additional hour and is available before or after normal operating hours.
