focuses on strategic management skills for those who work through media to create or influence
social policy. These professionals may work in non-profit institutions, activist organizations, state or national government agencies, or policy-analysis and advocacy organizations.
For example, students who undertake this concentration may be working in areas such as
health-care policy, race and minority issues, women’s issues, family advocacy (from child care to aging issues), education
policy, equity in access to technology, and public history and cultural programs.
