Current Research- Co-Principal Investigator, HEROES (Helping Each other Return to Our Everyday Societies)This CDC-funded study is exploring an HIV risk-reduction group intervention for men returning home from incarceration.
- Co-Investigator, BRO (Being Responsible for Ourselves)This NIMH-funded study is testing individual HIV risk reduction counseling among African American men who have sex with men.
- HIV/AIDS Provider Stigma Inventory (HAPSI)With colleagues in nursing and social work at Florida State, we are developing a series of scales to assess how medical professionals may hold stigmatizing attitudes about their patients/clients living with HIV/AIDS.
- Cultural Competence among Social Work Students An SSA team is exploring knowledge, attitudes and beliefs about cultural competence among first year MSW students.
