Jane Schull

Jane Shull is the executive director of Philadelphia FIGHT, an AIDS service organization serving more than 8,000 HIV-infected people and those at high risk for the disease in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. She joined FIGHT in 1991, when it was a small research organization with a seed grant from the American Foundation for AIDS Research.

Katherine "Casey" W. Keene is the project coordinator for the National Online Resource Center on Violence Against Women, an affiliate of the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (NRCDV), a national network of organizations and individuals seeking to end violence in the lives of victims and their children. Her background includes domestic violence technical assistance and information provision as well as counseling and crisis intervention.

Voffee Jabateh is the founder and chief executive officer of the African Cultural Alliance of North America, Inc., an organization that serves clients in west and southwest Philadelphia. He is a native of Liberia and moved to Philadelphia as a result of the Liberian civil war in 1990.
In Liberia, Mr. Jabateh served as a president of the Jabateh International Trading Corporation, Inc. He also served as president of the Liberian Association of Pennsylvania. In this capacity he advocated for improvements in the quality of life for Liberians and other Africans.

Kathleen M. Desmond,

Kathleen Desmond is the president and chief executive officer of Best Nest, one of the first agencies in the Pennsylvania incorporated specifically to serve the children and families affected by HIV/AIDS. At best Nest, Ms. Desmond develops programs serving families and children with the goal of supporting compassion and sensitivity while recognizing the inherent worth of the individual.

Alfred W Dean has more than thirty years of dedicated, progressive law enforcement experience.
Currently, Alfred is president of A.W. Dean Associates, a police management and school safety consulting firm. His clients include a nationwide listing of school districts and police departments. Under a contract with the United States Department of Justice, he also currently serves as executive director for the Pennsylvania Regional Community Policing Institute PRCPI)

Nina L. Cohen is first vice president and managing director of Philanthropic Advisory Services for The Glenmede Trust Company, N.A. In this capacity, Ms. Cohen provides advisory and administrative services to foundations, endowments, and not-for-profit organizations. In addition, she assists individuals, families, and organizations with charitable gift planning and developing philanthropic strategies.

Earlene Green is one of seven judges authorized to sit as the Philadelphia Traffic Court Judiciary. She uses this opportunity to administer fair, but firm justice, and she tries to keep in mind the lessons from her background in social work.
Judge Green has a long history as public servant and community organizer in Philadelphia. She serves as an elected committee person for her division of the city, helping people connect to the city services they need.

Zemoria A. Brandon is the administrator/social worker and media relations liaison for the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, Philadelphia/Delaware Valley Chapter (SCDAA/PDVC) which was established July 2, 1982 as a community-based advocacy organization with the mission of providing psycho-social and social services to children, adolescents, adults and families affected by sickle cell disease and sickle cell trait. She obtained her Bachelors degree in Social Work Administration from Temple University, School of Social Administration in May 2001.

SISTER MARY SCULLION

Sister Mary Scullion has been involved in service work and advocacy for homeless and mentally ill persons since 1978. In 1985, she co-founded Woman of Hope which provides supportive housing for homeless mentally ill women. In 1988, she helped establish the Outreach Coordination Center, a nationally recognized model, which coordinates street outreach to chronically homeless persons in Philadelphia.In 1989, Sister Mary and Joan Dawson McConnon co-founded Project H.O.M.E.
