Types of Financial Aid

Temple University offers assistance to eligible students typically in one or any combination of the following four forms: scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study programs. In addition to financial aid that is awarded by the University, many outside groups sponsor private scholarships, loans, and grants. Again, the key is to apply. Scholarships and grants do not have to be repaid. They are outright gifts, awarded on the basis of merit or financial need. Visit our Scholarship web site for a list of current scholarship awards.
