Report of CATA activities for the academic year 2006/2007
All of work requested of the Committee on Adminstrative and Trustee Appointments (CATA) was completed during the first semester of this academic year. CATA was charged with two tasks for the Fall 2006 semester; (1) selection of a faculty member to serve on the search committee for the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) Director and (2) revision of the Faculty Senate Bylaws that set out the responsibilities of CATA. We asked for and received self-nominations from faculty willing to serve on the search committee for the TLC Director and forwarded the name of the faculty member chosen to the appropriate administrative representative and to the President of the Faculty Senate. Our committee also forwarded to the President of the Faculty Senate a revised version of the section of the Faculty Senate Bylaws that discussed CATA responsibilities for consideration of the Faculty Senate Steering Committee.
CATA was not asked to comment on any administrative or trustee appointments during the final semester of this academic year.
