Program Overview
Temple’s School of Communications and Theater (SCT) ranks among the largest, most comprehensive schools of communications in the country, and is considered the Philadelphia region’s leading provider of media employees. The School now enrolls 3,900 undergraduate students and employs 80 full-time faculty members.
Here at SCT, academic and artistic exchanges occur between and among a wide variety of disciplines. The School offers bachelor of arts degree in seven cross-disciplinary programs in:
- Advertising
- Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Mass Media (BTMM)
- Communications
- Film and Media Arts (FMA)
- Journalism
- Strategic and Organizational Communication (StOC)
- Theater

Registration for Spring 2010
Students in good academic standing, may register on the appropriate dates via OWLnet by themselves. Students on warning or probation need to schedule an appointment with an academic advisor in order to register. Students in good academic standing with 30 s.h. or more completed will be advised in their prospective departments of their major.

Friday, Oct. 23: The last day to apply for SCT scholarships. Click here for more information.
Sunday, Nov. 1: The last day to apply for Readmission for the Spring 2010 semester.
Monday, Nov. 2: The last day to withdraw from Fall 2009 Class(es) no exceptions.
A (W) notation is on your transcript. Students are allowed only five withdrawals during their academic history. You may not withdraw from the same class more than one time.
Graduation Information
- For August 2009 and January 2010 Graduates:
The deadline for graduation application is October 15. - For May 2010 Graduates:
The deadline for graduation application is February 15, 2010.

2010 Templar Yearbook Senior Portrait Info
Seniors who wish to get their picture taken can schedule an appointment by going to www.OURYEAR.com. Once they log on, they are to use school code 87120. Or if they wish to make an appointment by phone, they can call 1-800-687-9327 during normal business hours.
The deadline for taking pictures: December 4. There are 30 sessions scheduled that students can attend. Click here for schedule info.
