Welcome to the Department of Theater at Temple University, currently celebrating its 40th Season of outstanding theater training and performance. Located on the northern edge of the Avenue of the Arts and just moments away from the heart of Philadelphia's thriving theatre community, Temple Theaters has established itself as one of the finest theater training programs in the nation. Our alumni are successful working artists with credits on stage, television, and film in Philadelphia, New York City, Los Angeles, and internationally. Our faculty are
celebrated professionals and scholars from the theater world, who generously offer their expertise and great
passion for the craft and creation of theater. Our students have become successful actors, directors,
designers, writers, theater professionals, and teaching artists. We invite you to join us as this exciting tradition continues!

Faculty Member Receives Helen Hayes Nomination
Marie Anne Chiment, currently the Head of Costume Design, has been nominated for the presitigious Washington D.C. area Helen Hayes Award for her work on the Olney Theatre's "I Am My Own Wife."
