  • Philly Awards for the 2004-05 season of Temple Theaters

Temple Theaters garnered some impressive honors when Philadelphia Inquirer theater critic Doug Keating bestowed his Philly Awards for the 2004-05 season. Winners included three designers who worked on last season's Temple Theaters production of Shakespeare's "Pericles, Prince of Tyre": Guest artist Jorge Cousineau won for best sound design; faculty member and department chair Daniel P. Boylen was runner-up for set design, and guest artist John Hoey, an alum and adjunct faculty member, was a runner-up for lighting design.

Temple University has earned national recognition for its ongoing dedication to providing students, faculty and staff with consistent access to state-of-the-art technology. The Princeton Review named Temple the fourth-most “connected campus” in the United States in its annual “Top 25 Most Connected Campuses” survey, released Friday on Forbes.com.

Please join us in congratulating Professor Linn Washington for his winning the 'Messenger Award' for a second year in a row. The Messenger Award for Civil Rights is the top national award in the Black Press. Officially known as the National Newspaper Publishers Association, the Black Press is comprised of 225 newspapers nationwide.
