RTF Alumnus Develops Movie On Theft of the Mona Lisa

Joe Medeiros, a 1975 Radio, Television and Film graduate, is in the final stages of editing a feature-length documentary on the true story of Vincenzo Peruggia, the man who stole the Mona Lisa in 1911. His film project was the subject of a story in the January 2009 issue of ARTNews. The article, Carried Away with the Mona Lisa, discusses how Medeiros first became interested in the story of the 1911 theft of the Mona Lisa from the Louvre shortly after graduating from Temple, and continued to research it while working as the head writer for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
