Fine Arts Programs
The School of Communications and Theater offers MFAs in Film and Media Arts and in Theater. The MFA in Film and Media Arts features study of a broad range of media practices, from conventional linear documentary and narrative film to contemporary interdisciplinary forms, in an intimate, collaborative community. The MFA in Theater offers programs in Acting, Design, Directing and Playwriting. Mid-career professional actors and directors engage in an intensive, two-year resident theater company, while developing teaching skills. The three-year Design program offers immersion into on-stage visual worlds, while the Playwriting program serves established, produced writers who work full-time.
