Teaching Mentor
This academic year, Barry Vacker (Assistant Professor, BTMM) is serving as the Faculty Teaching Mentor for SCT. Dr. Vacker will be happy to discuss various teaching strategies and techniques with SCT faculty members. This year Barry will be:
- Serving at the SCT liaison to the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC).
- Organizing one teaching workshop each semester.
- Working individually with faculty who wish to improve their teaching.
TLC Workshop
This semester's TLC workshop will explore the how to improve teaching skills for large lecture courses.

Resources
Temple University and the School of Communications and Theater offer various resources to assist faculty in providing quality instruction and guidance to students.
The Teaching and Learning Center supports Temple faculty and teaching assistants by helping to enhance their teaching skills.
The Instructional Support Center (ISC) provides consulting and production services, training, and access to state-of-the-art equipment for Temple faculty interested in using technology in the classroom.
School Instructional Facilities and other specialized equipment may be reserved by faculty members for specific projects or class presentations.
Temple University's 75,000-square-ft., state-of-the-art TECH Center includes specialized video editing, graphic design, and music composition labs.

Lindback Award Winners
Professors must demonstrate a command of the subject matter, familiarity with advances in the field, fairness and judgment in grading, and the ability to relate to other fields.
