The department of Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Mass Media (BTMM) at Temple University invites applications for a 1 year non-tenure track position to begin in fall 2010. The ideal candidate for this position will be able teach one or more of the department’s large skill related lecture courses (Introduction to Media Technology or The Future of Your TV), and will be experienced in media writing, and media platforms such as broadcast, online, or corporate media. In addition, depending on their qualifications, the NTT would be able to teach courses in the department’s production curriculum including television production, editing, and/or web design. The person hired will also work with other faculty on curriculum and technology planning.
The department has approximately 700 majors who study audio, video and electronic media production; management of media institutions; and social and psychological functions, processes and effects of media. It offers a master's degree and contributes to an inter-departmental doctoral program in Mass Media and Communication. BTMM is one of six departments in a large, diverse and dynamic School of Communications and Theater.

Non-Tenure Track Position
Department of Strategic and Organizational Communication
The Department of Strategic and Organizational Communication (StOC) in the School of Communications and Theater at Temple University invites applications for the position of lecturer.
This position is a one-year, non-tenure track appointment starting August 2010. The appointee’s area of specialization should be public communication with special interest and experience in teaching courses such as persuasion, campaigns and social movements, speech writing, political communication, public speaking, and rhetorical theory.
The department is one of six in a school of more than 3800 students. StOC has 10 full-time faculty and 360 undergraduate majors studying in one of three concentrations: organizational leadership, public communication, and public relations. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or be an A.B.D. in communication at the time of application. Preference will be given to applicants with a record of outstanding college-level teaching.
