Please note that if you are an August 2009 graduate and you participated in the May 2009 ceremony, you are not eligible to attend this ceremony. Graduates are only permitted to attend one SCT ceremony.

Q. Must I register to attend the SCT Graduation Ceremony?
A. Yes. Information will be posted as it is available.
Q. Are separate tickets required for my guests to attend?
A. Yes. All guests are required to present tickets for admission to the SCT ceremony at McGonigle Hall.
Q. Will I receive announcements?
A. No. Announcements will not be provided. Students who are interested in obtaining announcements can order them through our Bookstore or on their own.
Q. If I graduated in May 2009 or August 2009, may I attend and have my name announced?
A. Those who graduated in August 2009 and walked in the May 2009 graduation ceremonies are not eligible to attend the 2010 ceremony. Those students who graduate in January 2010 will also be invited to Temple’s main commencement ceremony in May 2010. However, students are only permitted to attend one SCT ceremony and one commencement, which is the Temple ceremony for all Temple graduates.
Q. How do I know if I am eligible to attend the SCT Graduation Ceremony?
A. Prospective January 2010 graduates: If you have done the following by the deadline (October 15, 2009): applied online for graduation, met with your academic advisor for an official grad check, completed all necessary requirements, paid your fee, and submitted your RSVP by the deadline (TBA), you are eligible to attend.
Q. How can I purchase academic regalia?
A. Graduates are required to wear an approved cap, gown, and hood. The total price for your full regalia will be announced when available:
- Bachelor of Arts: TBA
- Master’s degree: TBA
- Doctorate: TBA
Please note: The cap, gown and hood are yours to keep. You do not need to return these items after the ceremony.
Ambler Campus Students:
If you are an Ambler Campus student, please contact the Ambler Bookstore, 267-468-8460 to pre-order your academic regalia. Please note that regalia information may not be available until November 2009.
Main Campus Students:
Information regarding availability will be announced as soon as the information is available and may not be finalized until November 2009. In the past, the Main Campus Bookstore accepts in-person payments in cash, check (payable to Temple University bookstore), Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. If you require additional information, please contact the Main Campus bookstore at 215-204-4505 or 215-204-5578.
Q. How will I receive my diploma?
A. Diplomas will be mailed to your PERMANENT address listed on OWLnet approximately six weeks after the graduation ceremony.
Q. When should holds from my Temple Account be removed?
A. Holds against your account (financial, library, athletic, and exit interviews) will prevent you from receiving your diploma. To determine whether your account has any outstanding holds, visit OWLnet or the Bursar’s website: http://www.temple.edu/bursar/.
