A Welcome from the Director

Dear Prospective Student,

On behalf of myself and the entire Communications Program, I want to thank you for taking the time to visit this homepage. The Communications Program is one of the fastest growing majors and the second largest Program at Temple University, only beyond the Honors Program. Instead of studying one element of communication, the interdisciplinary Communications Program allows students to effectively take courses from each of the departments of the School of Communications and Theater.

Student freedom and the ability to craft your own academic path. A focus on the development of application and a deeper understanding of theories and skill sets. A strong commitment to student empowerment. These are all vital components of the Communications Program, a Major that is offered at Temple's campuses in Philadelphia, Ambler, and Tokyo. Our Major focuses on student freedom and students regularly contribute to the governance of the Program's direction. The results have been impressive.

Please take the time to find out more information about us. I will gladly discuss the Communications Program with you through email correspondence, telephone conversations, or in person.
