Facilities

All facilities in the School of Communications and Theater are uniquely outfitted for the teaching, research and production of all disciplines of communications study.

Annenberg Hall alone includes video and film editing areas, a 75-seat film and video screening room, journalism and photography labs, broadcast and film production areas, electronic news writing and editing rooms, and multimedia labs.

Film and Video Production Labs and Studios

Students and faculty can edit audio and video pieces and transfer video to various formats in the Post Production Lab or the TECH Center. Annenberg Hall also includes three fully-equipped studios for educational use, including videography, television direction and broadcast performance. Read more.

Joe First Media Center (Atrium)

The communications center features a café, a multimedia information center, a venue for displaying student work and a reception area.

Multimedia Urban Reporting Lab (MURL)

This newsroom, based at Temple University Center City, features wireless networking, digital recorders, access to the AP wire and video equipment.

Smart Classrooms

The School's classrooms are equipped with a variety of digital and media equipment for instructional use. Read more.

Temple University's 75,000-square-ft., state-of-the-art TECH Center includes specialized video editing, graphic design and music composition labs. Read more.

Temple Theaters

The School of Communications and Theater's performance venues have the capacity to serve audiences of up to 300 people. In addition to two fully equipped theaters, the Tomlinson/Annenberg complex also includes a sprung floor rehearsal hall; several rehearsal studios; a scene shop equipped with paint, metalworking, carpentry and properties areas; a costume shop with more than half a dozen industrial quality sewing machines, a dying area, and a considerable costume collection; a light lab; and a recording studio.
