Degree and Enrollment Verifications

 

Enrollment verification provides information regarding a student’s enrollment status (full-time or part-time), dates of attendance, degrees sought or awarded, and program of study. This service is provided free of charge to students. This information is needed by the student’s lender, insurance carriers, sponsor, etc. to determine eligibility for loan deferment and continuation of in-school benefits.

 

How Can I Request Verification of My Enrollment Status?

Self Service:

You may now obtain an official Enrollment Verification letter through the Additional Services feature of OWLnet. Click here to access OWLnet.

From the Office of the University Registrar:

If Enrollment Verification through OWLnet is insufficient, please fill out an Enrollment Verification Form online and then print and return it (in person or by mail) to:

You should provide the following information and allow a minimum of two weeks for the release of enrollment verification letters and forms:

your printed name and SIGNATURE
social security number or TUid
information such as dates of attendance, date of graduation, program of study
names and addresses of recipients and number of copies needed
your daytime phone number & email address
You should also include any forms provided to you by the agency, otherwise, we will send our standard University letter. Please click on the link above for a copy of an Enrollment Verification Request form.

Can a Third Party Request Verification of My Enrollment Status?

Enrollment information - status (full-time or part-time), dates of attendance, degrees sought or awarded, and program of study - has been defined by the University as "directory information". Therefore, it may be released to third parties without the written authorization of the student according to the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

A third party such as an employer, insurance carrier, background screening firm, etc. must contact the National Student Clearinghouse, our authorized agent for providing enrollment and degree verification, for this information.
