Pathways To Learning: Learning Styles Survey

Developed by Dr. Joyce Bishop, and based upon Howard Gardner (Frames of Mind: The Theory of Multiple Intelligence).

Directions: Rate each statement as follows:

1=Rarely 2=Sometimes 3=Usually 4=Always

Write the number of your response (1-4) on the line next to the statement and total each set of six questions. Mark the answers that best indicate who you are, not who you want to be - answer them objectively and honestly.

Time for scoring : Most people have multiple learning styles, although one tends to be become your dominate style. Don't be concerned if some of your scores are low - that is expected from everyone. Scores of :

•  21-24 indicates a high level of development in that particular type of intelligence.

•  15-20 a moderate level of development in that particular type of intelligence.

•  below 15 an underdeveloped level in that particular type of intelligence.
