WOMEN'S THERAPY CENTER SEEKS A VOLUNTEER
Are you interested in the mental health field? Want to learn more about it?
Do you want to strengthen your grad school application?
Come volunteer at Women’s Therapy Center!
Women's Therapy Center is a community-based non profit providing high-quality, low cost psychotherapy services to adult women, particularly those who are under and uninsured. We work from a feminist perspective and have a wide range of therapists with expertise including gestalt therapy, EMDR, mindfulness meditation, CBT, among others.
We are looking for a smart, technologically-savvy volunteer to help with social media and other administrative projects. This is a great opportunity for:
- someone interested in the mental health/clinical field
- new undergraduates curious about clinical work
- learning how feminism and therapy intersect
- learning how small non- profits run
Many of the benefits will include:
- access to a wonderful group of therapists with a wide range of experience
- working closely with executive director
Applicants must include:
- ability to commit to 3-8 hours a week (this commitment is imperative)
- an interest in psychotherapy and/or small non-profit administration
- skills in online social marketing such as facebook
- skills in Microsoft Access
