Susan Naylor-Emlen, Ph.D.

My research interests include areas of spatial learning and memory. Most recently the lab is exploring an interactive model of spatial and temporal information in map memory. This model will help explain how our representations of learned spatial environments are supported by the order (temporal intervals) in which locations within those environments were encountered. Other areas of interest include differences in mental rotation abilities and strategies as a function of figure dimensionality and gender, spatial language, and effects of learning goals on spatial information processing.
