Interests: Director of Temple University's Institute for Survey Research (ISR), specializes in evaluation and survey methodology, drug abuse research, marketing research, and consumer behavior. The ISR conducts thousands of in-home, mail, and telephone interviews among nationally representative samples each year.

Leonard LoSciuto, Ph.D. , is Professor of Psychology, and Director of the Institute for Survey Research (ISR) at Temple. Dr. LoSciuto also heads the Social Psychology program area within the Psychology Department. As the chief administrative officer and senior study director at ISR, Dr. LoSciuto has had oversight and/or hands-on responsibility for all phases of administration, design, planning, analysis, and reporting of results of more than 400 survey and evaluation research projects.  His methodological expertise includes all aspects of survey and evaluation research, including experimental design, psychometric and sociological measurement, questionnaire design, sampling, interviewing techniques, and data analysis. While he is particularly well known for his survey and evaluation work on drug abuse prevention programs, he has served as a principal investigator, project director, or consultant on a wide variety of studies involving complex designs and field work. Dr. LoSciuto teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in applied social psychology, as well as in survey and evaluation research methods. He has published extensively on the topics of survey and evaluation methods, drug abuse, and consumer behavior in books, professional journals, and government reports, and has presented papers at numerous professional meetings.
