Derek Wilkinson, B.S.

Bio: Derek received his B.S. in psychology from Western Michigan University in 2004. After graduation, he worked as a research associate in small animal toxicology at a contract research organization in Michigan. He then joined the Gould lab at Temple University in 2006. Derek is interested in how the effects of nicotine on learning and memory contribute to nicotine addiction. For his dissertation work, Derek is examining the relationship between tolerance to the cognitive enhancing effect of nicotine and withdrawal-related impairments in cognition.
