Bio: Rick is a fifth-year grad student currently working on his dissertation. The focus of his research is musical creativity. Specifically, Rick is interested in the role
played by expertise, practice, and learning in songwriting and composition. He has published work with his advisor, Bob Weisberg, on the former topic as well as on

the topic of creativity in art. In his spare time Rick is a performing musician, a DJ, and enjoys baseball, football, and soccer (GO CHELSEA!).
