Bio: Ellen is currently in her third year of graduate studies. She received her B.Sc. (Hons) in psychology from the University of Birmingham (UK) and her M.Sc. in Health Psychology from Staffordshire University (UK). Ellen’s current research interests involve the relationship between anxiety disorders and substance use, particularly the use of alcohol or cannabis among people with social anxiety or social anxiety disorder. Other research interests include anxiety disorders like generalized anxiety disorder, predictors of treatment outcome, co-morbidities like depression and panic in social anxiety disorder and generalized anxiety disorder, and the relationship between social anxiety and appearance.
