Bio: Ellen is currently in her fifth year of graduate studies. She received her B.Sc. (Hons) in psychology from the University of Birmingham in England and her M.Sc. in Health Psychology from Staffordshire University, also located in England. Ellen’s current research interests involve the comorbid relationship between anxiety disorders and substance use, particularly the use of alcohol among people with social anxiety or social anxiety disorder. Other research interests include predictors of treatment outcome, comorbidities including depression and panic in social anxiety disorder and generalized anxiety disorder, and the relationship between social anxiety and appearance. Ellen works with Dr. Heimberg in the Adult Anxiety Clinic of Temple (AACT).
