Daniel J. Calcagnetti, Ph.D.


Dr. Calcagnetti graduated from Temple in 1986 with his Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology. After Temple, he completed three post doctoral fellowships (two at Medical Schools) and then landed a full time faculty position at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU). He has been at FDU for the last 17 years. He teaches undergraduate, master, and doctoral students in the psychology, chemistry, and nursing departments. He was the youngest faculty member to be awarded Teacher of the Year (over the 22 years of the award at FDU). He has been the only faculty member in his department to ever earn Teacher of the Year.

Dr. Calcagnetti now has 49 publications and teaches several courses at FDU, including Drugs of Abuse, Cognitive Psychology, Behavioral Neuroscience, Psychopharmacology, Applied Statistics, Neuropharmacology and The Psychobiology of Eating and Global Cuisines.
