Kareem Johnson , Ph.D. is an assistant Professor of Psychology at Temple University. Dr. Johnson’s current research interests are the emotional, cognitive, and psychophysiological factors that may influence how people perceive and respond to outgroup members. His research has focused on how an individual’s positive emotional state can later how members of different races are perceived, categorized, and remembered. His research lab utilizes psychophysiological recordings and measures to examine how emotional and physiological states can alter social perception, particularly for targets that may be stigmatized as a function of race, culture, disability, or sexual orientation.
