Dr. Marian Berryhill, PhD is an NRSA funded postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Professor Ingrid Olson at Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Berryhill is currently investigating two lines of research. In the first line, she investigates memory deficits (episodic and working memory) in several neuropsychological populations including patients with parietal, frontal and medial temporal lobe lesions. The goal of this research is to understand the role and extent of parietal involvement in memory. A second line of research is more perceptually oriented and investigates how various monocular and binocular depth cues are integrated to determine object distance and size. The goal of this research is to understand how the brain creates an accurate representation of space in three dimensions from two dimensional visual input. Dr. Berryhill is currently examining these questions using behavioral, neuropsychological, fMRI, and TMS techniques.
