About The Program

The science master’s is a professional M.S. degree in science or mathematics for students interested in a wider variety of career options than provided by current graduate programs in the sciences and mathematics.

The New York-based Alfred P. Sloan Foundation has helped launch new M.S. degrees with strong graduate programs in the sciences and mathematics. All have been developed in concert with industry and are designed to dovetail into present and future vocational opportunities.

Along with the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, Temple University offers three Professional Science Master's (PSM) degree programs geared toward the working professional scientist or the new science graduate. The Temple PSM programs include both technical courses and an interdisciplinary core that give our graduates the skills to obtain management positions in business, industry, and government
