Undergraduate Certificate Program
The University College, in consultation with the National Park Service, has developed a certificate program in National Park Service Management that will provide extensive opportunities for academic study, training and development, and for internship placement as preparation for a career in National Park Service law enforcement and in other areas related to park service management, as well as other related careers. The certificate requires a minimum of 21 credits. In addition to the experiential and internship components that require reflective essays, students will complete other academic courses that explore the mission and functions of the NPS, communications and leadership, and ethics. All students accepted into the ProRanger Program will complete the certificate program as part of their ProRanger Program curriculum.

for Current Students
Temple students who have been accepted into the ProRanger Philadelphia program will be required to enroll in the Certificate in National Park Service Management and complete the full complement of academic and training experiences. Students should see their advising office or contact Brian Foley at Main Campus (bfoley@temple.edu) or Susan McCaffrey at Ambler Campus (smccaffr@temple.edu) with questions or to enroll in the certificate.
In addition, matriculated students pursuing Temple degrees who are not selected for the ProRanger program may, with permission, pursue the certificate program to improve their qualifications for post-graduation employment in the National Park Service. for Transfer Students
Transfer students are eligible for acceptance into the ProRanger Philadelphia program. Please contact Vicki McGarvey (McGarvey@temple.edu) for information about entering the ProRanger Philadelphia program. Students must already be enrolled at Temple University to be eligible for the ProRanger Philadelphia program.

Contact Laura Reddick (laura.reddick@temple.edu) with any questions. Once accepted into the ProRanger Philadelphia program transfer students will be required to enroll in the Certificate in National Park Service Management and complete the full complement of academic and training experiences.
Post-baccalaureate Certificate Program
Students who already hold a bachelor's degree are eligible to enroll in the Certificate in National Park Service Management and be accepted into the ProRanger Philadelphia program. The certificate requires a minimum of 24 credits. In addition to the experiential and internship components that require reflective essays, students will complete other academic courses that explore the mission and functions of the NPS, communications and leadership, and ethics.

The Seasonal Law Enforcement Professional Development Program
The Seasonal Law Enforcement Professional Development Program is one of the final steps for the ProRanger Program and certificate completion. Non-matriculated students may enroll in any remaining seats in the Seasonal Law Enforcement Professional Development Program (also known as Seasonal Law Enforcement Training Program). Completion of a seasonal law enforcement training program is required of all individuals seeking law enforcement positions with the National Park Service. Students must meet specific admissions requirements which include a federal background investigation, criminal history check, psychological and physical fitness testing, drug screening tests and an interview. This course requires a full-time commitment - students are prohibited from pursuing any other Temple courses while enrolled in this course. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be awarded academic credit and a certificate of completion. A public celebration that recognizes the significance of their achievement will include a formal graduation ceremony
