I must admit I never saw myself as being a National Park Service Law Enforcement Ranger, in fact, I knew very little about the profession; but nevertheless I knew my place was in law enforcement. After my summer internship with the Park Service I found myself again realizing where my place was, to be with the few who have dedicated their lives to protect our nations treasures along with the people who have come to enjoy them.

If you had asked me two years ago what I'd be doing on my quarter-century birthday, I would have never guessed I'd be starting a career in law enforcement with the National Park Service, protecting the some of the most beautiful, ecologically/biologically valuable, and culturally significant places in the United States. It's really great to have a career right out of college; it's even better to have one with purpose.
