As one of many ways to attain a global perspective, Temple encourages students to invest in themselves and take part in a study abroad program. Whether the experience is a summer, semester or an academic year, studying abroad gives Temple students the chance to see the world, be immersed in a different culture, learn a new language, gain a different academic perspective, and obtain a competitive edge over others in the job market or when applying for postgraduate studies. All of these characteristics prepare a student to become a truly global citizen.
The university's Education Abroad and Overseas Campuses office advises students on opportunities worldwide and administers Temple's university-wide education abroad programs and exchanges. University-wide education abroad programs are open to students of various majors, schools and colleges at Temple, and also welcome the participation of students from other colleges and universities in the United States. In addition to advising students about Temple's programs, exchanges, and scholarship opportunities, Education Abroad also advises students interested in external study abroad programs run by other universities and organizations.
