Planning to study abroad is exciting but requires careful planning. One of the most important components to be considered is how to finance an undergraduate or graduate study abroad experience. Temple University's Education Abroad office is a great starting point for gathering information on all the available resources for financial assistance.
Scholarships
Scholarship directories, informational brochures, and application materials are available in the Education Abroad office. Students are encouraged to apply for scholarships and utilize staff members who are more than willing to help with proposal writing and application preparation. Interested students should attend an information session about scholarships hosted by Education Abroad. See the events calendar for dates and times.
Financial Aid
In addition to the many external scholarships available for study abroad, students can typically use regular sources of financial aid, such as Pell grants and Perkins loans, toward their study abroad expenditures when participating on an approved program. More information about the financial aid possibilities for Temple students on Temple programs, Temple students on non-Temple programs, and non-Temple students on Temple programs, can be found here.
